Setting Up Your Station

Get Ready to Succeed

Great results don’t happen by accident — they happen by setup. And if your eyelids are finally getting the message, it’s because you’ve created the right environment to teach them.

This isn’t just skincare. It’s crease education. And like any serious training session, it needs the right gear.

Your Daily Tools

  • Tabletop mirror with magnification – crucial for detecting micro-errors in tape placement
  • Tweezers – for picking up tape cleanly without wrinkling the edge
  • Scissors – for trimming the f-tape if your eye size or fold angle calls for a custom fit
  • Thin layer of oil (e.g. facial oil) – for tracing exercises to reduce friction and preserve skin elasticity
🔬 Why magnification matters

When you're applying Optifold tape, even 1mm off can shift where the crease settles. A magnifying mirror helps you:

  • Spot slight misalignments that weaken results
  • See the skin tension zones more clearly
  • Correct technique if results stall unexpectedly

If your results were improving and then stopped, a magnified mirror is often what brings the solution into view.

When You’re Tracing

Apply a light layer of oil before doing your tracing exercise. Why? Because:

  • It allows your finger to glide without tugging the skin
  • It prevents unnecessary friction that can cause irritation
  • It ensures that your tracing movement is smooth and consistent, guiding the fold gently

Here’s the Science Behind It:

  • Tactile Stimulation – Boosts proprioceptive awareness of where the crease should form
  • Skin Tension Guidance – Helps the upper eyelid layers settle into a consistent fold
  • Surface-Level Conditioning – Repeated contact may influence dermal behavior over time

"Your eyelid learns faster when your environment is clear, intentional, and ready for success."
