How to use Optifold

Look slightly downward and raise your eyebrows.

Step 1

Set up your mirror

Before going to bed, place a tabletop mirror below your face rather than using a wall mirror.

Lift your chin slightly, raise your eyebrows and look downward into the mirror. This position extends the eyelid skin and makes the existing crease lines easier to see.

Maintain the same posture while applying both tapes.

Tabletop mirror guide

Before bed, place a tabletop mirror below your face. Look downward and raise your eyebrows.

Step 2

Place the F-tape

Keep the eyelid skin extended while positioning the F-tape along the crease line you are trying to reinforce.

Placement differs depending on the structure of the eyelid. Follow the example that most closely matches your eyelid type.

East Asian eyelids: curve the adhesive inward toward the eyelid.
Deeper-set eyelids: leave a small gap above the lash line.

Keep the eyelid skin extended while positioning the F-tape.

East Asian eyelids: curve the adhesive inward.
Deeper-set eyelids: leave a small lash-line gap.
Smooth the extended eyelid skin onto the F-tape.

Step 3

Smooth the skin onto the F-tape

Continue looking downward and keep your eyebrows raised. Gently guide the extended eyelid skin onto the adhesive surface.

Work across the entire tape. The skin should lie smoothly without creating several competing folds above or below the intended line.

Press gently while the eyelid skin remains stretched.

Step 4

Check the F-tape

Slowly look straight ahead after the F-tape has been attached.

The eyelid should fold along the intended line without a large gap, severe bunching or several new creases forming around the tape.

Adjust the position before applying the N-tape if the fold appears too high or unstable.

Look straight ahead and check the crease position.

Look straight ahead to confirm the crease position.
Press each lower N-tape post down separately.

Step 5

Stick the N-tape froggy toes

Position the N-tape over the F-tape and press each lower post, or “froggy toe,” onto the skin individually.

Confirm that each adhesive area is touching the skin. The centre bridge should remain over the eyelid without being pressed directly into the lashes.

Blink carefully and make sure the system feels stable before sleeping.

Press each N-tape toe down individually.

Overnight

Sleep with the tapes on

Leave them on for approximately eight hours.

In the morning

Remove the tapes in the correct order

Remove the N-tape first, followed by the F-tape.

Step 6

Remove the N-tape first

After waking, gently lift and remove the N-tape before touching the F-tape.

Removing the upper structure first gives you access to the F-tape and allows the eyelid skin to be released more carefully.

After waking, gently remove the N-tape first.

Remove the N-tape before beginning F-tape removal.
Release the skin before peeling the F-tape away.

Step 7

Unstick the F-tape

Do not immediately pull the F-tape away while the eyelid skin is still attached.

First release the skin from the adhesive surface. Work gently across the tape until the eyelid skin is no longer being pulled with it.

Release the eyelid skin before peeling the F-tape.

Step 8

Peel off the F-tape slowly

Once the skin has been released, peel the F-tape away slowly using a controlled movement.

Avoid pulling quickly or stretching the eyelid skin during removal. Complete the crease exercises shortly afterward.

Peel the F-tape off slowly after releasing the skin.

Peel the F-tape away slowly.

Eyelid crease exercises

Complete these exercises immediately after removing the tapes.

Use only a small amount of lotion.

Exercise 1

Apply lotion

Use enough lotion to reduce friction between the tool and the eyelid skin, but do not saturate the eyelid.

Too much lotion can make it harder to control the tool and follow the crease accurately.

Use a small amount of lotion.

Exercise 2

Tap it onto the eyelid

Use a fingertip to lightly tap the lotion across the crease area.

Do not swipe, pull or rub the eyelid skin. The purpose is to create a smooth tracing surface without moving the crease line.

Tap the lotion into place. Do not swipe or rub.

Tap the lotion into place rather than rubbing.
Use a tweezer or eyelid tool with a rounded edge.

Exercise 3

Take your tool

Use a tweezer or eyelid tool with a smooth, rounded edge. Avoid a sharp tip or an edge that is too thick to follow the crease.

Use gentle pressure. The tool should guide the skin along the line, not press forcefully into the eyelid.

Use a rounded tweezer or eyelid tool.

Exercise 4

Trace the crease

Follow the crease from the inner area toward the outer area using controlled, repeated movements.

Trace the same line approximately 20 times. Avoid changing the height or direction of the crease between repetitions.

Trace the same crease approximately 20 times.

Trace the same crease line approximately 20 times.
Hold the crease for approximately two to three minutes.

Exercise 5

Hold the crease

Place the rounded tool along the intended crease and hold the skin in position after tracing.

Maintain gentle, consistent pressure for approximately two to three minutes while remaining aligned with the same crease line.

Hold the crease for approximately two to three minutes.
