“I spent $4,800 on eyelid surgery to fix my asymmetry, and they still operated on both eyes.

My monolid side looked better at first, but a few months later, it started folding too high. I felt like I traded one problem for another.

Optifold finally helped me get the natural symmetry I wanted. No swelling, no scars. Just tape, posture, and the right technique.”

Former surgery client, switched to Optifold

📌 Getting Started: First Week + Results Timeline

In the beginning, small placement changes can make a huge difference. Use a magnified tabletop mirror, keep your brows relaxed, and apply with your chin slightly up and eyes looking down.

Even a 1 to 2 mm shift can change how stable the crease feels, so your first week is less about perfection and more about finding the right fit and angle for your eyelid.

  • Month 1: crease may stay visible for several hours
  • Month 2: crease can begin holding for longer periods without tape
  • Month 3: many users notice a more repeatable crease path
  • Months 4 to 6: stability and symmetry often improve further with consistency

🧴 Does It Cause Sagging?

Only if you are using the wrong kind of tape.

Most cosmetic eyelid tapes and glue strips are too thin, too narrow, and pull the skin in the wrong direction. That can distort natural skin tension and create unstable folds over time.

Optifold was designed differently. Our tapes are shaped to better match eyelid profiles and support the fold in a more controlled way instead of forcing the skin unpredictably.

Incorrect pulling direction Skin tension support lines Correct vertical support tension

The goal is not to yank the skin. The goal is to support the crease zone with a shape and direction that better respects how the eyelid naturally wants to fold.

🧠 How the Optifold Tape System Works

Optifold works through directional mechanical force, not brute pressure. The system uses two parts that work together:

  • F-tape: anchors along the natural skin tension line while the eyelid is stretched.
  • N-tape: presses down in a controlled way to help guide the skin into a more repeatable crease path.

F-tape

The F-tape acts as the base layer. It helps distribute load and creates the surface where the fold can begin forming more predictably.

N-tape

The N-tape adds focused compression and helps stabilize the crease boundary, while still allowing normal blinking motion.
